Transportation


Functions


Preparation of VA forms, documentation of claims and pertinent data, proper submission of VA claims, follow-up on claims, transportation to VA medical centers, electronic selective service registration and more.

Emergency Financial Assistance


Assistance with food, rent payment, utilities or other essential needs may be provided to veterans discharged under honorable conditions in a time of need. When a veteran is requesting assistance the emergency support eligibility must be determined with the required documents according to the ESR policy.

The purpose of the Miami County Veterans’ Services Commission is NOT to subsidize an unsatisfactory lifestyle. Rather it is to provide TEMPORARY ASSISTANCE to those who will make a conscientious effort to find a permanent solution to their financial difficulties.
