Surrendering Your Pet
We understand the decision to surrender your pet does not come easily. We may be able to assist you with the rehoming process, depending on available space and the animal's temperament and health. We are unable to accept feral cats and kittens.
If you are looking to surrender your pet to MCAS, please send an email to animalshelter@miamicountyohio.gov including your name, phone number, and city you reside in as well as the pet's name, breed, age, if it is good with dogs/cats/children, the reason for surrendering the pet, and a current photo. One of our staff members will respond to you in the order we receive requests.
Rescue Resources
We encourage you to contact local rescues, as well, if you need to rehome your pet. You can find our most updated list of rescue groups here.
