Anyone is eligible to ride regardless of age or ability. The hours of operation for transportation are as follows:
Monday - Friday 5:00 AM - 6:00 PM
Saturday 8:00 AM - 2:00 PM
We ask that you schedule your trip at least 24 hours in advance. Same day requests are not guaranteed. Trips can be scheduled up to 7 days in advance. The pick-up and drop-off times may be up to 15 minutes earlier or later than your scheduled pick-up time to accommodate other riders. It is up to you to be watching for the bus. Trips should be scheduled one hour prior to the desired time of arrival. Exact fare is needed when boarding the bus.

We offer two cards that have no cost to apply for. Both do require an application to be filled out and signed with proof needed (specified on the application).
Our Blue Card Application is for anyone 65 years of age or older or with a documented permanent disability.
The Title XX Application is based on income. Anyone regardless of age is eligible to apply. Income level must be at or below 150% Federal Poverty Guidelines. MCPT will determine eligibility following JFS criteria. Acceptable documentation for proof of income includes the following:
- Current Social Security benefit letter
- Pay stubs
- Printouts from Job and Family Services if receiving that type of aid
- Veterans benefit statement
- Pensions statement

No pets are allowed to ride in Transit vehicles. Service animals are allowed to ride.

Yes, children under the age of 7 ride free when accompanied by an adult. You must provide your own car seat if needed.
- Children less than 4 years old or 40 pounds must use a safety seat.
- Children less than 8 years old, unless they are at least 4 foot 9 inches tall must use a booster seat.
- Children ages 8-15 must use a child safety seat or safety belt.

If you need assistance to/from the door in order to board the bus, please fill out a door-to-door request form. Please remember to tell the scheduler that you will require assistance with boarding.
Safety is our number one priority. During inclement weather, Miami County Transit reserves the right to deny door-door assistance requests, should there be a potential safety hazard to the passenger or driver.

Passenger aides must be pre-approved by the Transportation Manager with written notice from the doctor on prescription pad or office letterhead. Upon approval, the aide is able to ride for free. Otherwise, their fare would be $4.00 one way for a trip within Miami County.

Carry on items are permitted, provided they do not exceed what you can comfortably carry in one trip. All passengers are permitted to carry personal items on the buses. In addition, all carry on items must be secured in a tote bag or other means of control. No loose items that may become a hazard in the event of a sudden stop, will be permitted. No open containers of drinks, food, or other liquids that can spill are permitted.
Bags are available on all buses for $1.00 each.

Our scheduler will work hard to schedule your trip at your requested time, but service is very limited and there are certain times of the day when there are no openings. Our service is first come/first serve and scheduled if space is available. We suggest that you schedule your trips as early as possible to reserve the time you need.

No. You will need to schedule a pick up and return trip when you call. You trip is completed when you leave the bus at any destination. On most days the driver has other trips scheduled and cannot wait.

Our service is a public transportation shared ride program. The driver may have other riders that are scheduled to be picked up and dropped off during your trip. Keep this in mind when scheduling your trip and give yourself extra time to get to your destination.

Yes, all of our vehicles are accessible to mobility devices. Our drivers are trained to assist passengers in loading, unloading, and securing mobility devices.

If you leave anything on the vehicle, call our office at (937) 335-7433. We will make every effort to locate and return lost items to our customers. Please understand that Miami County Transit is not responsible for items left on the vehicle.

Yes, we do have buses equipped with bike racks. Please let the scheduler know this information when you scheduled the ride.
