Background Checks

The Board of Miami County Commissioner's Human Resources Department provides background investigations for employment candidates, as well as offering to local non-profit organizations. You can find the Non-Criminal Justice Applicant Privacy Rights statement by navigating to the Forms & Documents link on the left. Navigate to "other" and provide a copy to your prospective employee prior to arriving at Human Resources. Invoices will be sent to each department the first day of the month after the prior month's appointments.

Individuals will be seen by appointment only during the following blocks of time (subject to change):

Monday - Friday 9:00-3:00 
*Excluding all Federal Holidays*

To schedule, please send an email to amccuistion@miamicountyohio.gov or call 937.332.7090 and leave a voicemail. Either mode of communication should include the name of the prospective employee and the department they will be working for, along with the day you would like them to be seen. State issued identification is mandatory for fingerprint scans.

All investigations will be submitted for the BCI only report. The FBI report will only be added for individuals in Job and Family Services, Child Support Enforcement Agency, or Public Children Services Agency with access to Federal Tax Information.
