Scheduling Information

Anyone is eligible to ride regardless of age or ability. The hours of operation for transportation are as follows:

Monday - Friday        5:00 AM - 6:00 PM

Saturday                    8:00 AM - 2:00 PM

Oberved Holidays (No Services):

NEW YEAR'S DAY, INDEPENDENCE DAY, THANKSGIVING DAY, MEMORIAL DAY, LABOR DAY, CHRISTMAS DAY. 

The Miami County Administration Office is also closed the following days in addition to the ones printed above: 

Martin Luther King Day, Juneteenth, Columbus Day, President's Day and Veteran's Day.


Where can I go?

You may schedule a trip to and from any location inside the boundaries of Miami County for a $4.00 fare, one way. We require you schedule rides 24 hours in advance. To have a better chance of getting the days or times needed, please schedule 14 days in advance. Miami County Transit is also traveling two miles over the county line to Greater Dayton RTA bus stops in Vandalia and Huber Heights area which is an additional fee of $2.00 totaling $6.00. This is only available Monday-Friday and requires scheduling 24 hours in advance.

How long will the trip take? 

The pick-up and return times may be up to 15 minutes earlier or later than your scheduled pickup time to accommodate other riders. Trips should be scheduled one hour prior to the desired time of arrival.

 We also offer direct trips to Montgomery County locations which include the following:

  1. Miami Valley Hospital
  2. Dayton Children's Hospital
  3. Dayton International Airport

These one-way trips will cost $26.00. Please schedule 7-9 days in advance. This is available Monday-Friday 8:00 AM - 3:00 PM.

In addition, we offer a connecting service to Shelby County. The rider is responsible for scheduling trips with both transit systems and must be scheduled at least 48 hours in advance. Please call for more information, 937-335-7433

CANCELLATION POLICY: Anyone wanting to cancel a scheduled trip must do so at least 30 minutes prior to the scheduled pick-up time.

Inclement Weather:

For the safety of our passengers and drivers, during adverse weather conditions, the decision may be made by management to limit the booking of rides to essential trips only. In extreme conditions, the service may be closed. Listen to WDTN (Channel 2) or look online at WHIO's website

Miami County Public Transit will make every effort to provide service in adverse weather conditions. Delays and cancellations are possible.
