Law Library
Welcome to the Miami County Law Library serving Miami County judges, county officials, attorneys, area law enforcement staff, and other county, municipal, and township officers since 1940. We are located on the 3rd floor of the Safety Building.
Library Materials
Materials are available for reference use only in the library. Law Library staff will provide assistance to individuals in locating materials, but cannot, by law, give legal advice, interpret any material, or fill out forms. For anyone taking legal action, it is recommended that an attorney be consulted.
Attorney Recommendations
We are able to recommend attorneys who practice in Miami County only. Please email or call the library for additional information.
Locating a Missing Will
We work with the local Bar association and Miami County attorneys to find missing wills. Please call the library or email the librarian for further assistance.
Form Books
The Law Library does have form books containing sample forms that can be copied. Photocopies cost $0.05 per page. We do not have any official court forms or forms ready to be filled in. This specialized collection is geared to the legal county government and law enforcement community.
Law Library Resource Board
The Law Library Resource Board consists of 5 members appointed by varying county offices, including the law librarian. Meetings are usually 4 times a year to discuss new and old matters regarding the use of the law library.
Mission Statement
To make available to the judiciary, county and state officials, and the legal community, current legal materials to enable users to perform the highest level of research and practice.
