Miami County Transportation Department-Transportation Manager-Full Time
Under general direction, coordinates the overall management of the County’s public transit system, including developing, planning and administering the annual operation and capital budgets and developing, reviewing, recommending, and implementing transit goals, objectives, policies and priorities. Administers system contracts for transit services, prepares specifications and bid documentation for transportation services and recommends bid awards to the Board of County Commissioners. Responsible for departmental accounting; issues internal billings to departments for services provided; submits required reports. Obtains funds, identifies sources of transportation funding and submits grant applications; administers grants complying with Federal Transit Administration (FTA) and ODOT requirements, including fiscal/performance audits, National Transit database submittals, and financial statements . Miami County Job & Family Services-Child Support Case Manager-Full Time

Manages child support cases in accordance with federal, state and local laws and procedures. Contacts and interviews parties. Using computer resources, conducts in-house investigations for child support enforcement, including collecting and verifying information. Determines compliance with court orders. Interviews, evaluates and assesses applicants for public assistance regarding their employment situation. Complete assessment, employability plans, and self-sufficiency plans for the Ohio Works First (OWF) and Food Assistance Programs. Riverside DD-Service and Support Administrator-Full Time
Acts as primary point of coordination for each individual served by MCBDD. Assesses individual needs for services and supports; develops, reviews, and revises’ individual service plans; establishes recommendation for and obtains approval of budgets for services based on the individual’s assessed needs and preferred ways of meeting those needs. Miami County Public Health-Environmental Health Intern-Seasonal
The internship will be for ten weeks (400 hours) starting in June. The 400 hours may be split up throughout the summer to accommodate a vacation or days off. Responsible for mosquito surveillance and reporting program. Scanning and filing of environmental reports. Assist and observe the sanitarian in the environmental programs in which they are responsible. May collect and deliver samples such as water samples, effluent samples, etc. and perform other routine environmental sampling. Perform routine measurements of water quality parameters of swimming pools such as chlorine residual, pH, etc. Report observations and conversations to a sanitarian after investigating a public health nuisance complaint. Interview and collect information from animal owners/bite victims regarding the circumstances of a biting incident. Contact animal owners to inform them of applicable rules and to determine the health/vaccination status of the biting animal. Miami County Sheriff's Office-Corrections Officer-Full Time
Corrections officers are responsible for overseeing individuals who have been arrested and are awaiting trial or who have been sentenced to serve time in jail. In Miami County the Sheriff’s Office operates two jail facilities and staff both with corrections officers. The first is a 43 bed facility located in downtown Troy and is considered maximum security, holding our highest risk inmates. The second jail is located in CR 25a north of Troy and is a 240 bed facility holding less serious male offenders and females. Corrections Officers rotate between both locations. Duties include: Periodic patrols and checks; monitoring inmate living quarters; screening visitors; inmate counts and other duties as required.
